Account & Profile Information

  • Username, display name, and customized theme preferences
  • Email address and hashed password
  • Subscription details (e.g., Pro status) and virtual items (e.g., Stars)
  • Encrypted backup of your private key (Zero-Knowledge: completely unreadable by us)

Message Content & Metadata

  • End-to-End Encrypted message content, chat history, and timestamps
  • Message delivery status (read/delivered receipts and reply threads)
  • Attached media references (e.g., Itunes music IDs)
  • Sender context for anonymous messages, including Account Status (Guest/Registered) and Approximate Location (e.g., City/Region)

Device & Security Information

  • Device type (e.g., Android, iOS, Website) and Operating System
  • Unique Device Fingerprint (strictly used for our blocking system and abuse prevention)
  • App version and performance metrics

Usage & Moderation Data

  • Records of abuse reports and associated message IDs
  • Your personalized Hidden Words configurations and Blocked Fingerprints list
  • General interaction data and error reports

  • Delivering encrypted messages and syncing real-time chats between users
  • Maintaining your account, Pro status, and personal preferences
  • Providing contextual hints (like location and device type) to help you identify the general origin of anonymous messages

  • Using device fingerprints to permanently block abusive senders across all their accounts
  • Processing reports to investigate and remove users who violate our child safety and anti-abuse policies
  • Applying your Hidden Words filters locally to shield you from unwanted content

Cloud Infrastructure & Services

  • Vercel: For web server hosting and content delivery.
  • Cloudflare: For web performance, security, and secure WebSocket connections for real-time chat.

Analytics

  • Vercel Analytics: To monitor website performance and traffic.
  • Cloudflare Analytics: For insights into network traffic and security threats.
  • Supabase Logs: To track database performance and API usage.

Media & Content Embedding

All third parties we work with are bound by strict data protection agreements and are carefully selected to ensure they maintain high privacy standards.

Your Rights & Control Options

At Secrely, we believe you should have control over your data. Here are the rights and options available to you:

Delete Your Data

You can delete your account and associated data at any time:

  • Go to Settings > Others > Delete Account
  • Confirm your choice (this action cannot be undone)
  • We'll permanently delete your data within 30 days

Control Your Privacy Settings

Customize who can contact you and manage your preferences for a safer experience:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy to adjust who can send you messages.
  • In Settings > Privacy, you can also manage your Blocked Users list (which shows users you have blocked from specific chat details).
  • Manage your Hidden Words list in Settings > Privacy, allowing you to add or remove words that you wish to hide from your messages.
  • Go to Settings > Preference to manage notification preferences.

Additional Rights

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under local laws (such as GDPR or CCPA):

  • Right to correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to restriction of processing
  • Right to object to processing
  • Right to data portability

Child Safety & CSAE Protection Policy

At Secrely, we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We are committed to protecting children and young users on our platform through the following actions:

  • Content Moderation: We use a combination of automated tools and manual review to detect and remove any content that may involve or promote child exploitation.
  • Reporting Tools: Users can report messages or accounts suspected of abuse, which are reviewed promptly.
  • Immediate Action: Accounts found violating our child safety policies are immediately suspended and investigated.
  • Law Enforcement Cooperation: We fully cooperate with law enforcement and relevant child protection authorities where appropriate.
  • User Controls: We provide features such as message filters, block/report tools, and privacy settings to help users protect themselves.
